The other kind of creativity
I’ve finally gotten around to finishing up the four small pieces of mixed media art I have been working on for the past few months. They had slowly been coming together, a few things being added to them every week, until I felt they were done.
Working with mixed media artworks is something new to me, and I am still learning. But I am having fun with it, and I find it to be a new and different way to use my creativity. Not only to create something with words, but with my hands as well. I feel writing comes a lot easier to me than this though, which is why it took me long to finish these. I had no clear view in my mind of what I wanted to create, I just added bit by bit until it felt right.
Once I had found my footing with the “Red & Gold” series, I wanted to try something else. Something new. The result there was “Copper Dreams”. I used a lot fo different sprays on this, primarily the copper shade, which gave it an amazing shine and finish. It was a lot of fun to experiment with this, to see what I could do, and how it would turn out.
You can view more pictures over at my Etsy store, where all four have been added for sale. I toyed with the idea of keeping them all, but I don’t have room for it, and I make them so others can enjoy them as well, not just me.
